We've compiled a few popular questions we've been asked recently. If you don't see your question below, feel free to give us a call and we will do our best to answer.
How long does the disinfection and cleaning take? When can people return after you are done?
The application process varies based on total square footage. If you assume a 1500 square foot space, plan to vacate for 3-4 hours. You can return to the space about 30 minutes after we are gone.
Can you work during off hours or when our business is closed?
Absolutely, this is how scheduling typically works.
What products do you use for this process?
We only use products from the EPA List N: Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2. The specific product vary a bit based on distributor availability (there are some supply issues from time to time). The specific products used will be listed in your proposal and contract. We only use non-toxic products.
Should cleaning be done before disinfecting?
Yes, cleaning is done to remove microorganisms, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. Cleaning does not necessarily kill microorganisms but reduces the load of organic materials so that when disinfectants are applied to a surface these can actually kill the microbes. You can read more on this topic from the CDC here.
I have a janitorial service, is that good enough?
Janitorial services are fine for cleaning, but they are not decontaminating an area. Decontamination is very different and much more thorough. The decontamination process is focused on killing the virus, utilizing everything from electrostatic foggers to misting, while wearing Level C PPE equipment with full body protection. We also test the area using Hygina ATP devices to test for contaminates.
How often should I have my space decontaminated?
This varies based on overall traffic but we recommend once per month, or anytime a co-worker or employee contracts Covid 19. We can discuss options with you on a call or when we arrive on site.
